This recipe was given to me by my dear friends Gary and Paula! So delicious! The perfect blend of sweet and spicy!
- 1 pt Blackberries
- 1/2 c Ketchup
- 1/4 c Honey
- 1/4 c Brown Sugar
- 1/2 c Fresh ginger, peeled and chopped into cubes
- 2 tbsp. Balsamic vinegar
- 2 tsp. Hot pepper sauce
- Combine all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Should yield 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 cups sauce.
- Transfer contents to saucepan. Bring to simmer. Simmer until reduced by 1/3-1/2 and sauce is thick. Resulting sauce should measure 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 cups.
- Spread on beef, pork or chicken during last 10 - 15 minutes of cooking or barbecuing.
